The 2024 Asia Pacific Chapter Meeting will be held in Brisbane, Australia. Queensland's capital city is located in the hilly floodplain of the Brisbane River Valley between Moreton Bay and the Taylor and D'Aguilar mountain ranges. Brisbane is a cosmopolitan hub for arts, culture and dining with a laidback charm and focus on the outdoors. Boasting stunning natural assets, clear blue skies all year round and subtropical alfresco lifestyle, it is an urban metropolis with a relaxed vibe. Amidst the skyscrapers sits an open-air city that embraces the river at its heart. With easy access to nearby icons like the Gold Coast and Great Barrier Reef, it is frequently ranked highly in lists of the most liveable cities. An exciting travel destination, it is on Time Magazine's list of the world's greatest places of 2023 to explore. Brisbane has hosted major events including the 1982 Commonwealth Games, World Expo 88, the final Goodwill Games in 2001, the 2014 G20 summit, and will host the 2032 Summer Olympics and 2032 Summer Paralympics.
