Its premier event is its World Conference, which is held every three years. The 16th ISFL World Conference was held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands in 2017, and attracted some 350 delegates from over 50 countries.

For the very first time, this prestigious event is scheduled to take place from July 14-18, 2020 at the Hilton Barbados Resort, Barbados. Among the key-note speakers expected to attend, is the President of the Supreme Court of England and Wales, Baroness Brenda Hale.
