Inger is a specialist family law barrister based in Trinity Chambers in Auckland, with more than 30 years' experience in practice. She is recognised for her expertise in complex cross-border family law disputes, including matters involving relationship/matrimonial property, financial issues, international child-related proceedings, and appellate advocacy. Inger is a leading specialist in Hague Convention matters, particularly international child abduction and the international recovery of maintenance. She is a member of the panel of lawyers instructed by the New Zealand Central Authority and regularly acts in Hague Convention proceedings. Her practice also encompasses child support, spousal maintenance, and estate litigation, with a reputation for handling complex and high-conflict cases involving international elements. Inger is a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and is the New Zealand Representative for the Family Law & Family Rights Section of LAWASIA. She is also a former Chair of the LAWASIA Family Law & Family Rights Section. Inger previously served as a member and Convener of the International Family Law Issues Standing Committee of the New Zealand Law Society's Family Law Section, contributing to the development of policy and practice in international family in New Zealand.
