Ivan is a Partner in Withers KhattarWong LLP's divorce and family team in Singapore which he leads and has extensive experience in all areas of family law. He is the author of the chapters 'Practice and Procedure in relation to Children' and 'Other Applications relating to Children' in 'Law and Practice of Family Law in Singapore', a 2016 publication by Sweet & Maxwell.  Ivan has acted for high net worth clients in divorces with cross jurisdictional issues and assets in multiple jurisdictions. He has successfully represented clients in contested custody proceedings involving relocation of the children to a foreign jurisdiction as well as in Hague Convention applications. Ivan has been interviewed on  national media on family law and international media in relation to a landmark adoption application involving surrogacy.   An accredited Family Mediator by the Singapore Mediation Centre and Law Society of Singapore, Ivan has been listed in the Doyles Guide Leading Family & Divorce lawyers in Singapore since 2017 and is identified as a Preeminent lawyer in the same guide since 2023. He was named by the Singapore Business Review as one of Singapore's top 20 'Most influential lawyers aged 40 and under for 2018'.
