Elected a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL) in 2018, John is a trusted advisor to a broad spectrum of clients on matters involving Maltese law. His practice spans family law, dispute resolution, real estate, and citizenship and residency matters, bringing with it a depth of insight honed over two decades of experience. John has developed particular expertise in international financial disputes and complex cross-border children’s cases with a Maltese dimension. Recognised by The Legal 500 as a leading practitioner since 2012, John is also the co-author of the Malta chapter in the Family Law Practice Guide published by Chambers and Partners. In 2010, he was selected to participate in the prestigious International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) in the United States, an initiative of the U.S. Department of State. His contributions extend beyond legal practice: he has served on various public bodies and, since 2023, has been a member of the Board of Directors of Lombard Bank, one of Malta’s leading financial institutions. John has been appointed as a Court Expert on Maltese law by courts in England, Australia, and Italy, underscoring his reputation as an authority in cross-jurisdictional legal matters.
