Appointed Queen’s Counsel 2021. Called to the Bar (England and Wales) in 1998, specialising in family law for over twenty years. In 2006, admitted as an attorney to the New York State Bar. Specialist in children law matters. Accepts instructions via solicitors and accredited to accept Direct Public Access instructions. Practice covers public and private law children work including adoption and abduction. Significant experience in proceedings involving the most serious allegations of harm including sexual and physical abuse, chronic neglect and emotional harm. Complex issues of high conflict and hostility. Particular experience in cases involving complex medical issues - disputed medical evidence regarding injuries and allegations of factitious or induced illness. Experienced in cases involving international issues including international relocation of children, international adoption and protective proceedings where there is an international element - FGM prevention order applications and forced marriage. Regularly attends and speaks at conferences both nationally and internationally.
