Profile
I have 26 years of experience practicing family law, including, legal education, and dispute resolution. As senior counsel at Pressé Mason Barrister's and Solicitors, I work with people to find timely and affordable solutions to their legal problems, and to recognize and promote the interests of children. I often work with clients who have business ownership and related wealth. I am passionate about legal education and policy development, and I regularly collaborate with provincial and national advisory groups on law reform. Currently I am the secretary for the IFAL Canadian Chapter, and a member of the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Committee, and Family Violence committees. For almost 10 years I have been involved nationally with the Canadian Barrister’s Association National Family Law Section and in this role, I led discussion on law reform and responses to legislation before Parliament. I often present at international and national conferences, including the ISFL (Antwerp, Belgium), the ABA fall conference (Montreal, QP), and within Canada at the National Family Law Program bi-annual conference (forthcoming Kelowna, BC).
