Barb is an experienced family law attorney representing clients in all aspects of domestic relations, including divorce, custody, property division, and financial support. Her practice is client-focused and emphasizes practical, family-friendly approaches designed to minimize conflict and help clients move forward constructively. She is trained in collaborative law and frequently serves as a mediator, working to resolve disputes efficiently and amicably. Barb also teaches and trains others in conflict resolution, including mediation, interest-based negotiation, and collaborative practice. She co-coordinated the Collaborative Practice Center of Greater Washington for ten years and has helped found nonprofit organizations dedicated to expanding access to collaborative divorce services for families of modest means in Washington, DC and Maryland. She currently serves as President of the Collaborative Access Project of DC. Barb has been recognized by Washingtonian, Super Lawyers, and Best Lawyers, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She earned her law degree, with honors, from Harvard Law School and a bachelor’s degree, with honors, from the University of Washington. She is also a former CPA.
