Matthew P. Barach is a family law trial attorney and an appellate family law specialist. He appears regularly before the Massachusetts Appeals Court, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, and the First Circuit Court of Appeals. He was on the winning side of two landmark Massachusetts alimony and child custody removal cases. He litigates international child custody matters under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. He is the author of The Family Lawyer's Guide to Appellate Practice and a contributing author for Westlaw. He has written numerous family law articles, is often quoted in Lawyers Weekly, and speaks regularly on family law both locally and nationally. He has been named both a Super Lawyer and included in Best Lawyers. He is the Co-Chair of the ABA Family Law Section's Alimony Committee.
