Profile

For over 20 years, Mr Oster has been recognized as a family law expert in Nevada.  He was the first person to pass the Nevada Family Law Specialization exam and is a past president of the Family Law Section.  The Nevada Supreme Court appointed him to the committee that drafted discovery statutes.  He drafted the Amicus Brief in the landmark case of Rivero v. Rivero, 216 P.3d 213 (2009).  He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.  Mr Oster was appointed a temporary member of the Judiciary Selection Committee that filled a vacancy on the family law bench.  Mr Oster served as the attorney for a Grand Jury in Douglas County, Nevada.  Mr Oster is the first IAFL Fellow from Northern Nevada.  He is a frequent speaker on family law issues.  As such, Mr Oster has extensive experience on complex family law cases involving international issues.
