IAFL Institute for Further Learning

Posted: 8 Jul 2025

The IAFL is pleased to announce the establishment of the IAFL Institute for Further Learning. The bespoke course will be delivered in English and will feature 10 monthly sessions delivered online by IAFL Fellows and individuals who are expert in their fields.

The course is aimed at family lawyers who have been practicing for around 6-7 years. It will appeal to individuals who are keen to participate and share knowledge; who have a curiosity about other legal systems; who are open to being mentored and learning and who aspire to be a Fellow of the IAFL in the future. It is intended that each cohort will comprise individuals from a number of different jurisdictions.  The maximum number of participants in the class will be 10 persons which will ensure that there is plenty of opportunity for discussion.

Those who complete the course will receive a complimentary registration to the IAFL Annual Meeting in Dublin from in September 2026.

The full curriculum can be found here.  The application form can be found here. Completed applications should be returned by email and should be received no later than midnight GMT on Monday 11 August. Successful applicants will be notified by email by Friday 22 August 2025.
