Profile

The practice of Pauline Montanus focuses mainly on complex divorce and divorce-related cases involving children in need, international aspects (including child abduction) or where child protection measures are concerned. Since her studies she has had a special interest in the International Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and she tries to use the provisions of this convention in cases where children are involved. Paulines work is characterized by thoroughness and care.  At first she will always try to reach an agreement in mutual consultation with the parties and their counsel. If this is not successful, she will seek the best possible result for her client in legal proceedings.  Besides being a lawyer Pauline have taught juvenile and family law for more than ten years. Teaching ensures that she is and always has to be up to date in regard to knowledge. Pauline also regularly teach juvenile and family law to other lawyers for various PAO (post-graduate continuing university education) institutes.  At last, Pauline is on the editorial board of several case law journals and regularly publishes articles in (legal) professional journals and/or volumes.
