Served on the editorial board of the Family Advocate, a publication of the A.B.A. Family Law Section. Is a member of the South Carolina Family Law Specialization Advisory Board and has written a book entitled Straight Talk About South Carolina Divorce Law published in 2007. Is also the author of several history books, including A Short History of Charleston, Confederate Charleston, and The Jewish Confederates, all published by the University of South Carolina Press.
