Dr. Hassan Elhais is a Dubai based Senior Legal Consultant at Amal Alrashedi Lawyers & Legal Consultants. Practising in the UAE since 2006, he advises UAE nationals, expatriates and international families on complex family disputes involving the UAE and other jurisdictions. His practice covers divorce, child custody and contact, international child relocation and abduction disputes, maintenance and matrimonial financial matters, and the recognition and enforcement of foreign family judgments. His work includes UAE family law matters concerning Muslim and non-Muslim families, as well as inheritance disputes. He assists overseas lawyers with UAE law advice and coordination of proceedings involving more than one country. Dr. Elhais regularly provides expert reports and legal opinions on the interpretation and application of UAE laws in international family law matters. His experience includes providing reports on UAE laws for proceedings in the United Kingdom and Australia, and UAE law opinions and advice to law firms in the United States, Canada, France and Switzerland.
