Profile

Peter is a member of Bernacchi Chambers, one of the leading sets of Chambers in Hong Kong. He is regularly briefed by specialist family solicitors in cases involving international elements, both financial and children-related. Peter originally qualified in South Australia, before coming to Hong Kong in 1994 to work on refugee-related matters. Between 1999 and 2013 he was the founding partner of Barnes & Daly, a firm which engaged in multiple large-scale and significant public law cases. In 2014 he switched to the Bar and now practices almost exclusively in family law. In the past 6 years he has regularly sat as a Deputy Judge of the Family Court, presiding over complex children and financial Trials. He is a CEDR-trained mediator. Peter also maintains a practice at the Adelaide Bar (www.murraychambers.com.au), where he practises exclusively in Federal Court matters (Family and General Immigration) including in the appellate jurisdiction of the Federal Court and High Court.
