Profile

Valerie Wolfman (née Von Bleichert) has been practicing law in New York for the past 30 years. Born in Switzerland, she has lived in Switzerland, South America, Texas, California and France.  She lives in New York with her husband, an architect.  She is on the Association of the Bar of the City of New York referral list as well as the French Consulate’s referral list. Many of her clients have multinational issues. She is on the Board of the Swiss Benevolent Society in New York.  She has litigated a number of cases involving the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of Child Abduction including Blondin v. Dubois and many others. Blondin v. Dubois 78 F. Supp. 2d 283 (2000); Blondin v. Dubois 189 F.3d 240 (1999) and Blondin v. Dubois 238 F. 3d 153 (2001).
