IAFL Events

The IAFL has a deserved reputation for its collegiality and conviviality, particularly at our meetings. After recent meetings, we have received direct feedback from many participants that they feel that the meetings lack inclusivity which has coincided with a noticeable increase in the number of private spin-off events taking place during the meeting. Given this, the IAFL Executive Committee has instituted a new policy mandating that no private group functions be organized during the advertised meeting times, specifically Wednesday lunchtime through Sunday morning. Further, we would ask you take a moment to read our Policy on Expectations of Engagement at IAFL Events.

The IAFL has reserved a limited number of rooms at the Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach. The rates begin at $349 USD per night for a Junior Suite Partial Ocean View.

The cutoff date to book your room is October 30, 2026 or until sold out, so please book your rooms soon. You will receive your booking link URL in your registration confirmation email. 

Upon check-in, each attendee may choose or decline the optional daily resort charge, currently $40 per room, per night. Should the guest agree to this resort charge, it would be posted to their guestroom folio to cover the following items, services and/or amenities (which are subject to change without notice):

1-800/local calls
2 Bottles of spring water in room per day
2 Beach chairs
1 Beach umbrella
Sunrise yoga
2 2-Hour bike rentals (ages 18+)
20%-off spa services
2 bottles of spring water on the pool deck

Currently, there are service fees as follows: Porterage is $10 per person (covering both check-in and check-out), and Room Attendant service is $3 per room, per day. Both fees are applied solely at the discretion of the guest.

*Tiered/Reduced Registration fees for Fellows

The IAFL is committed to expanding its reach in jurisdictions that are currently under and un-represented within its Fellowship and to making meetings more accessible to all. With these aims in mind, the IAFL offers reduced registration fees to attendees from jurisdictions that qualify for IAFL Tiered Dues. The discount only applies to those registering at the early bird rate which is available up to September 10, 2026. After this date, the regular fee will apply. Click

Fees include:

Registration cancellations received in writing to kara.roberts@iafl.com will be accepted until October 19, 2026 and fees refunded, less a USD $100 administrative fee per person. This includes social events and tour fees if IAFL is not responsible for any charges or fees due to the cancellation. Cancellations are not considered received until confirmed in writing by IAFL USA staff.

Registration fees for cancellations received after October 19, 2026, will not be refunded. If the IAFL is able to re-sell any cancelled social function tickets or tours to another delegate, these fees may be refunded but only after the Conference has taken place. Please email kara.roberts@iafl.com. No refunds will be made for non-attendance at the Meeting.

Note that registrations are unique to the individual named on the registration form and are not interchangeable or transferable, either in part or whole, to another person.

Dress Code
The dress code for the education program and social functions is smart casual.

Visa Requirements
It is the responsibility of each attendee to check visa requirements for entry into the USA and to organize a visa if required.  Information can be found on the Government of the USA website. Please allow sufficient time for the relevant application process.  The organizers will not accept liability for non-approval of visas and any request for a refund of registration fees paid will be considered under the meeting cancellation terms and conditions (see above).
