Practicing exclusively in the area of family law since my call to the bar in 1990, balance is key to my approach to family law issues. I use my experience in handling complex property, support and high conflict custody/access issues to provide solid and practical solutions. My extensive trial and appellate litigation experience, with numerous reported decisions often establishing important principles in the area of family law, is balanced with mediation and collaborative family law training. My experience also includes litigation involving foreign jurisdictions and the return of children via hague applications as well as the negotiation and drafting of domestic contracts with multi-jurisdictional issues. A frequent speaker at conferences on substantive issues and trial techniques, I have written numerous articles and papers including the custody and access chapter of the law society of upper canada’s bar admission course materials. My continuing selection to the Lexpert® directory (ranked as repeatedly recommended) illustrates the respect I have earned from my peers as a leading practitioner in the area of family law.
