Vanessa L. Hammer is a founding partner of Hammer Serna & Quinn, LLC (HSQ). Prior to starting HSQ with her partners, Vanessa worked as an associate attorney with prominent boutique law firms in Chicago, Illinois and Houston, Texas.
Vanessa has proven success in representing a wide range of clients in all areas of family law including high-net-worth professionals and business owners. Vanessa has successfully handled high-conflict contested custody, visitation, and relocation cases in both state and federal court, including matters brought under the Hague Convention as well as interstate child custody litigation under the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act (UCCJEA).
Vanessa is fluent in Spanish (reading/writing/speaking) and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial lawyers (Illinois Chapter) where she currently a member of the Board of Managers.
