Kathryn was admitted to the New Zealand bar in 1988 and is a specialist family law barrister, based in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, North Island, NZ. She began her legal practice working across a range of litigation from civil cases, criminal law and family law. For the past 25 years, Kathryn has specialised in family law. She has a particular interest in relationship property with an emphasis on international issues, Hague Convention on child abduction, surrogacy and adoption and issues with capacity in relation to personal care and property matters. Kathryn has written and presented nationally in New Zealand on these issues, receives regular appointments as counsel for the New Zealand Central Authority and is a senior lawyer for child and lawyer for persons with incapacity. Kathryn is also a member of the New Zealand Family Law Section and an Associate of the Arbitrators & Mediators Institute of New Zealand
