Profile
As a lawyer at Pressé Mason and an adjunct professor at Dalhousie Law, I have over 25 years of experience in family law, legal education, and dispute resolution. I am also a King's Counsel (K.C.), a prestigious recognition of my merit and contribution to the legal profession. My mission is to work with people to find timely and affordable solutions to their legal problems, and to recognize and promote the interests of children.
I am passionate about legal education and policy development, and I regularly collaborate with provincial and national advisory groups on law reform. I am the current chair of the National Family Law Section for the CBA.I have presented at international and national conferences, and I teach child protection law at the Schulich School of Law in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I also develop website content and guided pathways for family law websites to improve access to justice.
