1st Forum on Domestic Violence

IAFL welcomes the publication of the report of the first Forum on Domestic Violence and the Operation of the 1980 Hague Child Abduction Convention that took place in Johannesburg in June this year. The meeting saw 100 delegates attend in person, with another 340 people attending online. The meeting programme can be found here. The Hague Conference on Private International Law co-hosted the meeting with the government of South Africa, the University of Pretoria and its Centre for Child Law, the Director of which is Fellow, Karabo Ozah. IAFL was honoured to be asked to participate in this important work and, congratulates Ms Ozah on the recognition given her by the Hague Conference for the crucial role she played.
